Mr Green Review

Mr. Green is a UK-focused, Malta-based online gambling company that operates a casino and sportsbook (no longer available for players in the UK). It has been around since 2007 and I joined them just a couple of years later. It was a long time ago, and while my memory isn’t great, I do remember enjoying the layout and software and then leaving because of a frustrating experience with customer support.

That was a long time ago and Mr. Green has changed a lot since then. In fact, it’s currently owned by William Hill, one of my personal favourite gambling brands.

So, let’s see if those changes are positive and if Mr. Green is worth your time and money.

Welcome Promotions

The main welcome offer is for the casino and gives all new UK customers 100 free spins on the Big Bass Bonanza slot machine. These spins have a value of £0.10 each and must be used in 72 hours.

Other Bonuses

Every day that you wager £5 or more will earn you 5 free spins on Majestic Mysteries Power Reels. The spins are worth £0.20 each or £1 in total and you must opt-in to qualify. As with the welcome bonus, these spins have a wagering requirement of 35x.

Drop and Wins are also available and occasional reload promotions and cashback offers appear from time to time. You won’t find an abundance of offers here as on Jumpman Gaming casinos, and Mr. Green doesn’t have an impressive loyalty scheme or VIP program, either.

Slots and Table Games

In the early days of online gambling, casinos worked with a single developer. If you’re over the age of 30, there’s a good chance you’ll remember the days when every casino seemed to offer Microgaming slots and little else. It was a little dull, to say the least.

It’s one of the reasons I don’t really like Microgaming, even though I appreciate the impact they’ve had on the industry and enjoy some of their games. It’s like the song that you love when you first hear it and then despise after hearing it on the radio and in TV adverts every day.

When Mr. Green first launched, it bucked this trend, becoming one of the first online casinos to work with multiple developers. Mr. Green continues to work with many top creators, offering hundreds of games from the likes of Playtech, NetEnt, Blueprint Gaming, Big Time Gaming, Red Tiger Gaming, Push Gaming, and more.

It also has a live casino stocked with Evolution Gaming titles.

You’ll find features such as progressive jackpots, Megaways, Cluster Pays, and Stacked Symbols. As a testament to its size, Mr. Green also has a few exclusive games. They’re not the best games the casino has to offer, but at least you know they’re original.

Deposits, Withdrawals, and Customer Support

I used Mr. Green many years ago and I’m 90% sure I used PayPal. It’s my go-to payment method and I’m confident I wouldn’t have joined if it wasn’t accepted. Mr. Green is also owned by the same parent company as William Hill, a brand that accepts PayPal.

But for some reason, Mr. Green Casino doesn’t accept PayPal now. It does accept PaysafeCard, Skrill, and Neteller, and you can also use debit cards and direct bank transfers, but there’s no mention of PayPal anywhere.

Customer support is available around the clock and can be accessed through live chat. All those years ago, I had a few bad experiences with Mr. Green support and this was ultimately the reason I stopped using the site. They seem to have improved a lot since then, though. They are more attentive, professional, and helpful than I remember.

Verdict: Mr. Green Review

Mr. Green is a bit of a mixed bag. It has a great selection of games and has always strived to work with multiple developers and provide a lot of variety. It also has a selection of welcome bonuses.

But it’s not perfect. I would have liked to see more reload promotions and VIP offers. These offers are dealbreakers for most players. Let’s be honest, most casinos have the same games and similar software. If you’re going to return to a casino day after day, it’s because it rewards you for your loyalty and offers a wealth of perks, and not because it has an exclusive game that you can’t find anywhere else.

Still, you will find a few such offers and it’s a good site overall.
