Bet UK was not a brand I was familiar with before sitting down to write this review. I didn’t know what to think, but then I saw Teddy Sheringham on the homepage and realised it’s a joke of a site that doesn’t deserve anyone’s respect. I mean, the guy played for Manchester United and Tottenham. He just needs Sunderland to complete the trifecta and lose every ounce of my respect.

All jokes aside, Teddy is a legend (who I respect solely for his England career) and a great ambassador. It also helps that Bet UK is backed by LeoVegas, one of the most respected sports betting and gaming brands in Europe.

It’s a good start, but let’s see if it continues in that vein or hits a sudden downward spiral like Teddy’s beloved Red Devils.

Welcome Bonuses

Bet UK offers £30 in free bets to all new players who bet at least £10. It’s only available to new customers over the age of 18, and you must opt-in to collect it. After joining, you have 7 days to make a deposit and place your bets, with only odds of 1.5 or more qualifying.

Once your qualifying bets settle, you should receive 3 free bets of £10 each. But these bets can’t be placed on single wagers, nor can they be added together.

The free bets must be used on accumulators of 4 or more selections, with total odds of 1.3 or higher. As always, you won’t get the free bet stake back with your winnings.

Loyalty Offers

Bet UK has a few different loyalty promotions, and these are offered to all active players. They aren’t huge, but they are plentiful.

At the time of writing, for instance, you can pick up a free bet of £3 on the darts and a bet of £2 on an accumulator, just for meeting a basic £10 qualifying requirement.

You can also collect free spins for use in the Bet UK casino.

Software and Betting Options

You can get an idea of the size of a sportsbook by checking how many bets it offers on the biggest football matches. The average is about 200. The biggest ones go above 600. Bet UK sits somewhere in the middle at just over 400.

Those bets include all of the usual win/lose and over/under markets, as well as a variety of special bets.

For instance, if you click on the “Pre-Packs” section, you can see a series of in-game multiples, much like the “Your Odds” bets on William Hill. These selections vary by sport and event, but with football, you’ll typically find selections such as “Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 Goals”.

You can also bet on player specials, team fouls, team shots, and more. If you’re looking for bets that you can’t find on every other sportsbook, check out the Advanced Stats section. It uses a series of over/under markets based on Opta data, letting you bet on everything from possession stats to offsides and more.

For price boosts, check out the Bet UK Specials section. For live betting, head to the In-Play section.

There are a lot of different sports and events to choose from and Bet UK does a particularly good job of representing combat sports, football, and esports, with the latter covering all kinds of FPS, battle arena, and strategy games.

You can place these bets on desktop and mobile, and when you have finished with the Bet UK sportsbook, you can venture over to the casino. Use your sports betting account to access the casino and play games from dozens of top developers.

There are also welcome bonuses and other offers available on the casino. However, you can’t use the casino bonuses in the sportsbook. You also can’t collect the casino welcome bonus if you have already collected the sportsbook bonus.

Verdict: Bet UK Review

Bet UK is a surprisingly expansive sportsbook that comes with an equally generous online casino. It lacks the depth of betting markets and live streams that you can find on sites like bet365, and the bonuses could also use some work.

At first glance, the welcome bonus looks great. You can turn £10 into £30 after all. The problem is that the £30 must be used on accumulators with at least four selections and odds of 1.3. It greatly reduces the chance of getting a return from these free bets.

Also, while Bet UK has several free bets, they are not as high as the offers you can find elsewhere. On bet365, for instance, active players will find all kinds of free bets in their account and they don’t have to do much to collect these. At least once a month they give me £10 just for staying active.

On Bet UK, you can collect a bonus of £2 or £3, but you need to deposit and wager at least £10 to get there.
