The Online Casino is as dull as you can get when it comes to online casino names. The creative department were clearly having a day off when they thought of this one. Or they were just bullied into submission by the SEO team. Either way, you can’t judge a book by its cover or its crappy name.

After all, Philip K. Dick once wrote a book titled The Man Whose Teeth Were All Exactly Alike and that guy was a genius.

So, is The Online Casino a Philip K. Dick masterpiece with a terrible name or is it just terrible?

Welcome Bonuses

If you use Skrill, be prepared to change your allegiances, lest you miss out on the welcome bonus. It’s the only payment method excluded from this offer, which gives you a 100% deposit boost up to a maximum of £100. You’ll also be given a bundle of free spins.

The wagering requirement is fixed at 50x (3x for the spins) and the bonus is valid for 30 days, with the spins running out after a week.

You can withdraw your real money balance while the bonus is active but doing so will void all active bonuses.

Loyalty Offers

The loyalty scheme on The Online Casino reminds me of the ones on Jumpman Gaming casinos (Rocket Bingo, Rocket Slots), which I have praised a number of times.

Rather than giving you points in exchange for wagers, it tasks you with completing challenges and gives you trophies when you do. After you have earned enough of these trophies, you will advance through one level of the loyalty program and can pick up some perks and prizes.

Other loyalty bonuses are available as well. These include the occasional free spin promotion and reload offer. The promotions section of the website is a little messy, but I recommend checking it out every now and then to see if there is anything interesting available.

Casino Games

The gaming selection on The Online Casino feels endless. Even the list of providers goes on forever. It’s massive, to say the least. That’s definitely a positive, but it would have been so much better if the games room had more filter and category options.

As it stands, you’re basically resigned to clicking on the “Slots” section and then scrolling through thousands of different thumbnails. I mean, they are small and compact, and I feel like they have done that to account for the huge selection and limited categories. But surely it would have been easier to offer some extra choices.

The games available on The Online Casino include an assortment of jackpot titles, classic games, new games, and features like Megaways. There are thousands of titles, so nothing is in short supply and if you have any favourite slots, there’s a good chance they will be available here.

Play on mobile or desktop, with instant play options available for both of them.

If you want to narrow down your search without using the basic categories or browsing through the list of providers, click the “Search” button. Just bear in mind that it will only highlight words used in the game’s titles. So, it’ll pick up on terms like “Jackpot” and “Megaways”, but not “Cascading Reels”.

Deposits and Withdrawals

The Online Casino accepts debit cards, PayPal, ecoPayz, Pay Via Phone, and Neteller. You don’t pay for deposits (with the exception of Pay Via Phone), but you will be charged for withdrawals.

Withdrawal fees annoy me more than any other feature. I have complained about them extensively, with most of those rants targeted at Jumpman Gaming sites. All Jumpman sites charge a fixed withdrawal fee of £2.50, which can seriously eat into your bankroll.

Unfortunately, The Online Casino is another site worthy of this complaint. It doesn’t charge as much as Jumpman sites, but it still charges. You’ll pay 1% of your withdrawal for each one that you make. There is a cap of £3, so it’s not completely terrible, but these fees really shouldn’t exist in any form.

To give you an example, if you withdraw £100, you’ll lose £1. If you withdraw £1,000, you’ll hit the maximum of £3.

There seems to be an issue with MasterCard withdrawals on the site. It merely states that there might be “issuer restrictions” and they are not available as a result. It means that you can deposit with MasterCard but you can’t withdraw with it. Visa doesn’t have the same issues though.

Verdict: The Online Casino Review

The Online Casino needs a lot of work, but it got very close to being an excellent casino. I wasn’t much of a fan of the name and the design didn’t really have a positive impact on me either. But the games are great, the welcome bonuses and loyalty bonuses are fantastic, and there are thousands of slot machines, table games, and live casino games to explore.

As with many other online casinos, The Online Casino lets itself down in the banking options department. It charges a withdrawal fee and doesn’t accept Mastercard for withdrawals.

FAQs

Who Owns The Online Casino?

The Online Casino is operated by ProgressPlay Limited. The company is incorporated in Malta, where it also holds an iGaming license. That license doesn’t apply to players in the United Kingdom though.

Does The Online Casino Accept PayPal?

Of course. It’s one of several payment options that the site accepts and it’s available for both deposits and withdrawals.

Is The Online Casino Secure?

Yes. Not only does it have an SSL certificate and an iGaming license, but it’s also secured by PCI and Sectigo and works with safe third-party payment networks.

Can I Use My Mobile on The Online Casino?

Yes, it works with mobile devices. You can also use Pay Via Phone to fund your account directly from your mobile. It simply adds the deposit amount to your mobile phone contract, but as it’s a form of credit gambling, I wouldn’t recommend it.
