King Casino is online casino royalty that operates under license from the governments of the United Kingdom and Malta, with only the former applying to players in the United Kingdom

If you call yourself “King Casino” and use a golden crown as your logo, you better be able to back it up. It’s like when your mate shows up to 5-a-side wearing neon pink boots and with his name on the back of his shirt. If he flops, you know he’s getting called “Pinkie” for the rest of his life.

So, does King Casino flop or is it worthy?

Welcome Bonuses

Sit down at the king’s table and enjoy a feast of credits and spins when you make your first deposit of £20 or more. It’s a high minimum deposit, and it might deter some players as a result, but it should still be within range for the majority.

There are two stages to this welcome bonus.

In the first instance, you will be given a 100% matched deposit bonus with a cap of £50. So, if you deposit the minimum of £20, you’ll get an additional £20. If you deposit £50 or more, you’ll collect the full £50.

You will also receive 20 free spins on Book of Dead as soon as you make that deposit of £20 or more.

When you have finished with your first deposit bonus, you can move on to the second one. This is capped at £100, but it comes in the form of a 50% matched deposit, so you must deposit £200 or more to collect the full amount.

A bundle of 30 free spins (on Book of Dead) will also hit your account at the same time as those credits.

The free spins have a withdrawal limit of £100

A modest wagering requirement of 35x applies to all of your bonus cash, including any winnings accumulated using the free spins.

Check the bonus terms and conditions to learn more and to check up on the wagering contribution rules.

Loyalty Offers

King Casino has a modest selection of loyalty promotions, some of which come directly from the developers. For instance, there are Drop & Wins and real money tournaments available at the time of writing and both of these are part of developer network promotions.

It does have a rewards program, but it seems that it is only available to non-UK players, which is frustrating. Generally speaking, King Casino leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to loyalty offers.

I was expecting some themed promotions that carried on from the welcome bonus. Maybe a trail that takes players through a medieval world. Maybe even a levelling up system where you start as a peasant and work your way to become king. There are many things they could have done, but it seems like they didn’t do any of it, at least not for UK players.

Casino Games and Slots

One of my biggest and most frequent criticisms of online casinos concerns the category and filter options, or the lack thereof. They give you over 500 slot machines to play and then expect you to browse through them using a search box, a list of providers, and a choice between “Classic Slots” and “New Slots”.

Imagine that you enter a car showroom that sells every car made in the last few years. They are all organised for your benefit, but when you look at the car parks, you see one for “Blue Cars” and another for “Red Cars”.

That’s basically what it feels like. Not only are there very few categories, but the ones that exist are next to useless when it comes to actually finding what you want.

King Casino does a better job. It has a “Themes” section that includes options such as “Adventure Slots”, as well as “Jackpot” and “Jackpot King”. I would have still liked to see options relating to features such as Locked Wilds, Sticky Wilds, and Tumbling Reels, but at least King Casino makes an effort.

King Casino also have a live casino section. It includes games from Evolution Gaming, including titles such as Deal or No Deal, Lightning Roulette, Lightning Dice, DragonTiger, Baccarat Live, and Baccarat First Person.

There are RNG table games as well, although these are few and far between. If you’re looking for table games, you’re better off sticking with the live casino.

Verdict: King Casino Review

King Casino could have done something so much more with its theme and it also should have offered more loyalty promotions. But these are minor issues, and the site is excellent on the whole. I wouldn’t put in on the same level as Foxy Games, but that’s a pretty high bar and King Casino is still a top site.
