In an industry known for its cookie-cutter approach to casino creation, originality is key. Games, themes, software, loyalty schemes—any time you can do something different, you’re going to get noticed and you’re going to win praise from old-school gamblers like myself.

Such is the case with Bonus Boss. On the one hand, it looks a lot like other In Touch Games casinos. The layout, the style, and the payment options are all pretty much identical. Even the offers aren’t that different. But when it comes to the games, the things that are so often replicated and regurgitated, Bonus Boss is as unique as they come.

Welcome Promotions

With a name like Bonus Boss, you’d expect this In Touch casino to have a lot of promotions and it doesn’t disappoint. The welcome bonus claims to offer a “300% Deposit Boost”, but it’s not quite as impressive as it first seems.

The 300% is actually split between a 200% offer and a 100% offer. It does add up to 300%… but it doesn’t mean you’ll get £300 when you deposit £100, so it’s a little misleading.

There is a £300 cap, but to get that amount you’ll need to deposit £200. 

The minimum deposit is £10. Using this amount for your first two deposits will give you £30 in bonus credits and £20 in cash for a total playable balance of £50.

The welcome bonus comes with a 40x wagering requirement and this applies to most of the casino’s other promotions, as well. 

Bonus Boss also has a £5 no deposit bonus. It has a withdrawal limit, but at £50, it’s quite a generous limit for a promotion of this type.

Other Bonuses

Bonus Boss encourages all players to add their phone numbers to the site and accept SMS promotions. This is how they tell their players about loyalty offers, many of which are no deposit bonuses and free spins. 

The more you deposit and play, the more frequent the bonus offers will become. Personally, I hate giving casinos my phone number. I’ve changed my number 3 times in the past 5 years because sites I joined for review purposes won’t stop pestering me. 

But Bonus Boss doesn’t seem to be one of those brands, so it’s worth adding your number. 

If you have any friends who love to play online casinos, check out the Bonus Boss refer-a-friend promotion. You’ll get £5 in bonus credits and your friend will get whatever bonus is available at the time. It’s always good to see a refer-a-friend bonus, but they rarely offer any decent value.

£5 is nothing when you consider how much money you could be making for them and how much of their marketing budget you’ll be saving. Still, if you have an account and your friends are open to recommendations, you have nothing to lose.

Games

At the outset of this review, I blamed casinos for their “cookie-cutter approach”. It might sound harsh, but it’s true. They use the same frameworks, work with the same payment networks, and host the same games. Those games are created by third parties and as casinos want to host the most popular slots, it means everyone ends up with the same roster.

Bonus Boss is different. All of the site’s games are created by In Touch’s development team. It means you won’t see the same-old list of titles you’ve seen a million times before, one that nearly always includes Starburst, Book of Dead, and Gonzo’s Quest.

At the same time, however, those developers don’t have the same resources as large-scale development studios. They can’t compete with the likes of Playtech, NetEnt, and Microgaming for sheer scale and quality. As a result, the Bonus Boss games room is very small, including just a few dozen titles.

You also won’t find a live casino here, nor will you encounter a single Megaways slot.

On the plus side, the games incorporate some interesting features and there is a progressive jackpot attached to all of them. This jackpot offers payouts in excess of £100,000, and as it grows with every spin on every slot, it can reach some staggering amounts.

Deposits, Withdrawals, and Customer Support

Bonus Boss is one of the few casinos that will let you withdraw under £10, but it’s not recommended. All withdrawals under this amount are subject to a fee of £3, and as there’s no fee for withdrawals over £10, it’s best to wait.

Bonus Boss is a bit of a Marmite casino. Some of you will love it; many of you will hate it.

If you’ve been gambling for a long time and you’re sick of the same-old slots, you’ll be in the former category. I’m there myself, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time here.

If you’re an online casino novice and classic games are new to you, Bonus Boss probably isn’t a good fit. The slots are good and it has some decent bonuses, too. But it’s a fraction of the size of other online casinos and you’ll have a far better time exploring a site with over 1,000 games and a live casino.

In any case, you have to respect what In Touch Games is doing here and I hope more operators follow suit.
